PAN card reprint steps

If your PAN card is lost, damaged, or you need another physical copy, a reprint may be the right route—as long as the information on your PAN record does not need to change.

When to request a reprint

A reprint issues a replacement PAN card with the existing PAN details. It is not a new PAN application and does not correct a name, address, date of birth, photo, or signature in the record. If any details must be updated, start with the provider’s change/correction service instead.

Protean’s separate online reprint route

Protean states that its separate online reprint facility is for PAN holders whose latest PAN application was processed through Protean or the Income Tax Department e-Filing portal, and only when no data change is required. Its published guidance says this request does not require an application form or supporting documents; the service may ask for verification and payment details during the live process.

  1. Open the official Protean e-PAN/PAN reprint service and read its eligibility conditions.
  2. Enter the requested PAN and contact details, then complete the displayed verification step.
  3. Confirm the address and delivery option presented by the portal. Check any current fee before paying.
  4. Submit the request and save the acknowledgement or reference number for tracking.

Eligibility, address rules, charges, and delivery options may change. If the separate reprint service says the PAN is not eligible, use the provider’s official instructions for an alternative; do not create a second PAN application.

Use the correct provider’s route

UTIITSL provides its own reprint facility. Start at its official PAN services site and follow the current “Reprint PAN Card” option; do not assume Protean’s eligibility rules or steps apply to a UTIITSL-processed record. If you are unsure which provider processed the original request, check the PAN application acknowledgement or use the official provider guidance.

For Protean’s current service description, seePAN application and reprint options. For UTIITSL, start at the official UTIITSL PAN site. This website is an independent image-preparation tool, not a PAN application or card-issuance service.
